New Board Members and Email Forwarders
So I updated the email forwards for the new board members that got elected and I also updated the contact page (which I am on!).
Mags, Jenni, Emily, and I (and maybe someone else) have figured out to add 3 members a day to the listserv until they are all added. I might do 2 paying members and 1 non-paying member starting tomorrow too. I think there are about 19 members left on the “TO ADD” list.
In other news, I applied to 4 jobs this week, so good for me. I hope I get some phone calls soon!

Phonecall with Mags
So I got a phonecall from Mags today. It was very pleasant talking with her. I really like her accent
What can I say? I’m a stereotypical American falling for the Scottish accent. Like Craig Ferguson. Of course I didn’t say that. It probably would’ve been insulting. He did become American recently.
Anyway, we talked about what I’ve been doing and what my plans are a little. How much time I spend doing stuff. What do I want to do. What kind of skills do I have. etc. etc. It was a pretty short conversation (maybe only about 30 min or so).
Then Clayton and I had to the go to theatre! We saw District 9! It was completely awesome. Out of about 2500 applicants, only about 200+ were accepted, including Clayton and I! So we had a good time. The director and the main actor were also there for a Q&A afterwords for about an hour! Whee!

Smooth Sailing?
It’s been about 2 weeks and no one has really emailed me with any problems. We’re still having problems getting me Mircosoft Office from Tech Soup, but that really isn’t any surprise.
I’ve been kind of throwing around an idea on how to redesign the Seasons logo. I haven’t put anything to paper yet, but I think its starting to come together. I might post a sketch if I do one soon.
We upgraded Wild Apricot because we are getting very close to our 500 member limit for our account. So that will be exciting. I’m still continuing to get new members (perhaps an average of about 1 or 2 a week). And I just keep adding them to the list.
I do need to start working on getting more of those past events up. I have occasionally added new events when Emily asks me to, but I definitely need to keep up with other things that I’m supposed to be doing. I’ve also thrown around some ideas on what we can do the spice up the homepage.

More Password Problems
Well Farzana Datta was having password problems too. And I did the same thing, where I generated a password, and then typed out a generic password and she was still having problems.
By that point, I wanted to know where she was trying to log into (I had just assumed the womenplaywrights.org website because that’s really the only place do you DO log into). She didn’t have the website saved so I gave it to her (womenplaywrights.org). But she didn’t type in www. so after she did, it worked and then the password worked.
So far, this trouble ticket was, the most, confusing to me. She said she had problems logging in but then she didn’t know what the website was that she was trying to log in to 0_o? Extremely weird, but I’m glad I was able to help.
I really need to come up with a bunch of questions like customer service people have to ask you when you call in with a problem. For example:
- What are you trying to do exactly?
- What webpage are you on?
- Have you tried recovering your password?
etc. And lists of other questions for different problems of course.

Meeting with Emily
So I met with Emily again today. Probably for the last time as her acting as Secretary. Awww..
But we discussed what needed to be done, now that the board has been elected (changing email forwards, and changing the contact page). But since she’ll still be acting as webmaster, I can always ask her a question. I think she’s pretty much ready to take a back seat and let me start handling things.

New Members to the Listserv
So just for the record, I’ve added 26 members to the listserv since joining the organization. And 16 new members have joined since I’ve joined the organization. ARG! Let me catch up first!

Password Problems
So Jackie O’Neal had problems logging into her account on the website (I assumed) and wanted me to give her her password. But of course that’s impossible because although I can access her membership data and change her password, I cannot view previous passwords (for her security I suppose – it’s just the way Wild Apricot is set up).
So I change the password, send her the new one, no big deal.
But it is a big deal because she emails me back saying it doesn’t work. So I give her a new one. I had previously let Wild Apricot generate me a weird password (FJR)$R@)fwo) so I made her a new generic word sounding one (apples). But that one doesn’t work either. But this time, I logged in as her with that password to make sure it worked before sending it to her.
By this time, I realize that Jenni was also emailing her and helping her out! WHOOPS! So eventually we got everything settled around and I learned to bcc the board when I help someone so other people know that I did it and don’t have to step in.

Board Meeting Problems
So I just got back from vacation yesterday. Meghan Sharer needed help getting access to the board meeting while I was on vacation so I just sent her the link to the board meeting forum page. For whatever reason, she hadn’t logged in to view it so the link didn’t work.
